When asked about how they would be spending the day, Jess said: 'We’ve not got big plans for today the family are coming round.'
Dom said: 'She doesn't know yet but I'm taking her away somewhere in Europe.'
Live on Good Morning Britain, the reality stars were supposedly wed by Richard Arnold – who had been ordained ahead of the ceremony – the pair wearing white swimwear for their romantic nuptials. It certainly made for a rather interesting Valentine’s Day edition of the show – the first Love Island wedding!
Staying true to their Love Island background, Sheers wore a white bikini and weil, while Lever simply wore white shorts and a black bow tie.
They walked down a pink carpet - with Jess in a full veil despite her state of undress - and celebrity reporter Richard Arnold officiated the marriage.
There was even an awkward moment when they were asked if there’s any reason why they should not be married.
“Do you want a lie detector?” Jeremy Kyle shouted over.
"No lie detector today," Dom confirmed.
Saying his own Love Island-style vows, he said: "I promise to share our life story on social media from this day forward because you’re my type on paper."
And there was even cringe-worthy reference to Muggy Mike - who tried to graft on Jess when they left the villa before Dom last summer.
Jess, 24, spoke her vows, with the words: ‘I, Jessica Shears, take you Dominic Lever, to be my husband.
‘I will not pie you off, even if Muggy Mike comes along.
‘In the presence of TV’s Richard Arnold, I make this vow.’ Richard declares: ‘I now pronounce you the first couple from Love Island to get married, you may now kiss the bride on the lips!’
Jess and 27-year-old Dom shared a cheeky kiss in front of Richard, before the GMB crew came and congratulated them. And lucky Nadia Essex caught the bouquet of flowers after the pair wed – or pretended to wed.
'Now I recognise them,' host Jeremy Kyle said.
Ben Shephard added: 'My eyes are strangely drawn in every direction.'
Jess then said her vows, which made reference to Muggy Mike after she was accused of being intimate with him behind Dom's back when she left the villa.
She said: 'I will not pie you off, even if Muggy Mike comes along.'
But although the ceremony was beautiful, it wasn't official.
The couple will get married in Mykonos later this year, Jess confirmed.
Which is just as well, because some viewers weren't impressed.
"When you thought Jess and Dom from Love Island couldn’t get more desperate...they get married on GMB," one viewer commented.
